January is Reading Month!
The theme is Go Hog Wild - READ! SCA will be collecting donations of new or gently used books every Wednesday and Thursday. Salem Rams will turn into "Book-ers" and many activities have been planned so students can go "hog wild" reading! Make plans to enjoy an evening dining out with us at Literacy Night on Tuesday, Jan. 15. Outback Steakhouse is sponsoring a dinner for $8 per ticket with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Salem students! There will be 2 seatings, 5:30 & 6:30 with limited seating, so once you receive the reservation form be sure to turn it in promptly!
Parents are invited to come and read to our class during the month of January. Please call or write Ms. Brown to set up a date and time if you are interested.
Homework:
The children will continue to bring home their reading books nightly. Please remind your child to place their book back in their backpacks when they are done.
Please continue to see the weekly Language Arts Calendar and Monthly Math Calendar for homework assignments. Remember to read, read, read and to fill out those Reading RAMS forms!
