     Thank you parents for your support at home!   Thank you for paying close attention to the notices sent home regarding due dates and special announcements.  Thank you to those who helped your child with our Family Turkey Project!  Our classroom is looking so festive with all the turkeys!  Thank you to those who have been so diligent in sending in materials for our Math Tool Kits too.  Your support and cooperation really send a strong message to your child that school is important.   

     In case you missed this announcement last week... Congratulations to our Super Citizen for the first grading period, Zanila P.!  Zanila is a hard working and responsible student, and a helpful class citizen.  Zanila and her parents were invited to the Super Citizen ice cream party on November 6th to celebrate this great honor.  Keep up the good work Zanila and congratulations!

 Homework:

     Students are assigned Language Arts and Math homework every Monday.  It should be kept in his/her Daily Folder during the week.  Please read over the directions carefully so you can best help your child. Please check over your child's homework nightly for neatness and accuracy.  Any written assignments are to be done in the Homework Notebook.  Directions on how to keep the Homework Notebook organized are printed on the cover.  Homework Notebooks are to be returned to school daily and kept in students' backpacks.  Mrs. Paras will check these randomly to ensure homework is being done.

     Parents, please be sure to check your child's Daily Folder each night, even on Fridays.  Most important papers are sent home through the Daily Folder including behavior notices.    ***Please be sure your child brings his/her folder to school every day.

     Thank you, Parents, for your support and cooperation with your child's homework!  By helping your child keep up with his/her homework each night, you are enabling them to be prepared for more learning and less reviewing each new day.
