Homework is to be completed in pencil and a child’s best handwriting. Written homework is to be returned the following day in the homework folder. Parents, please guide your child in completing his/her homework. Also please try and read each night to your child. Thank you for your home support!
Monday: Remove Monster Squeeze game and keep at home to play and remove the Counting by 5’s and 10’s page to keep at home to practice. The December Book-it is in folder and the Nov. Book-It is due tomorrow. Remove the Number writing page and write name at top and write numbers to 20. Write name on the Fast Read page and parents write the time. Remove the words like and we from the Ziploc bag in the folder and keep them at home to practice reading. In the small snack Ziploc bag are the letters that spell like & we. Have your child practice moving the letters to spell the words and count the number of letters in each word and notice what letters are the same in each word. Also, have your child tell you sentences with these words. Practice orally counting forward 1-55 and backward 10-0. Read a book and write on the Reading Rams sheet and the Book-It sheet.
Tuesday: Remove the P, p homework page-write name at top and follow directions to complete the page and return tomorrow. Remove the Math Homelinks 3*7 Measuring in Penny Lengths page-you may keep at home and do when you get time this week or on the weekend. This does not have to be returned. Do Fast Read and parents write time. Practice identifying and counting real pennies. Practice counting by 5’s to 30- 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30. ALL LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE TOMORROW-PLEASE PUT IT IN YOUR BOOK BAG TONIGHT.
Wednesday: Remove the name writing page- your child needs to trace his first and last names on the top line and then write his first and last name 3 more times on the rest of the lines. Also, remove the I Like book and practice reading this book aloud and discuss what it was about. Practice counting 1-55 and back 15-0 and do the Fast Read and parents write time.
Thursday: Remove the Number 1-100 number page and read the note and keep at home to practice. In the folder is the I Like It book for your child to practice reading and discussing. Practice counting by 10’s to 50- 10, 20, 30, 40, 50. Play the new Four in a Row game that is in folder. Read another book together and write on the Reading Rams form and Book-It form. Do the Fast Read and return in the folder.
