Students, the music has arrived, as you know, and we are off to a great start in chorus. The title of the chorus program is We Sing of America. I will have copies of the words for you soon so that you can practice at home. The second grade program is The Mischievous Bugs where we will find out about what flies really like about a picnic.
Kindergarten and first grade will continue to focus on steady beat and rhyming words in their songs.
Third grade will continue their study of melodic direction by creating their own melody on the piano while fifth grade wraps up a study of spirituals before going on to another style in their study of - style.
Fourth grade will begin a new topic, Ostinato. We will learn what it is and how to create one ourselves using a variety of instruments.
