- Please make sure that your child is completing their homework each night. Homework is practice for skills learned in the classroom. It is beneficial to your student's learning that they complete it on a consistent basis.
Homework:
- Daily: DLR, Daily Reading Selection activity - these are checked daily.
- Reading Calendar: Please make sure that you child spends some time silently reading each night. A reading calendar was sent home on May 1st. Each student will need to read 450 minutes for May. The calendar will be due Monday, June 2nd, signed by a parent.
- BOOK REPORT: Information went home on Thursday, May 1st about this. They are due on Friday, May 30th. This month's genre is student choice. The activity for this month will be to complete the Reading Activity Mat entitled Spring into Reading. Your student was given one on Thursday May 1st. I do not have extras, so please keep track of it!!! An oral presentation is still required.

- SOL Testing - May 19th, 20th, 21st, and 22nd for 5th grade
